Before you call VIP Storage
Have at hand
- Your boat's overall length, including the outboard or swim platform, and the trailer tongue if it stays on the trailer
- Height on the trailer (with T-top, tower or windshield) and beam
- Which storage type you want and for how long (season, winter, year-round)
- Registration and proof of insurance: most facilities ask for both
Ask
- The price per month, season or year, and what it includes (power, wash-down, launch)
- Gate access hours versus office hours, and how you get in after hours
- Contract length, deposit and notice to leave; whether there is a waiting list
- Whether you can work on the boat on site, plug in a battery tender or leave the trailer
